We had some disappointed children last week-none of the Presidents came to their birthday parties!  But we had cupcakes, games, songs, and gifts for everyone.

February book orders should arrive this week.  March book flyers will be handed out this week.

March tuition is due this week.

We need 5 oz cups, napkins, Clorox wipes, paper towels, construction paper and copier paper.  Thanks so much for you generous support of the Bears.

This week our theme is SPRING and our special event is a Picnic in the Snow.  We will have bologna sandwiches, chips, pickles, juice and a special desert.  Everyone will play in the snow (cotton balls).

SHOW AND TELL is this Thursday and Friday.

MONDAY the Bears will begin with a dot-to-dot 1-5 paper.  The letter is “C” to trace and write.  Our number is “7” and the story is Seven Monkeys jumping on the bed.  Everyone will cut monkeys to glue on the numbered beds. Everyone will make a Lion-Lamb craft.

TUESDAY the class will begin by finding the SAME items in each row. The number is “8” and our story is the elves and the shoemaker.  Everyone will make a lamb-lion craft.  We will have our picnic in the snow.

WEDNESDAY the children will begin with a 1-5 dot-to-dot to solve.  The letter is “D”.  Our sight words are “LITTLE” and “BIG”.  Everyone will cut apples and glue them to the basket.  We will have our Picnic in the Snow.

THURSDAY the students will begin by finding the SMALL items in each row.  We will find the items that are “ON”.  Everyone will make a picture of their home.  WE will make a cloud craft, share our newspapers and our behavior book and have SHOW AND TELL.

FRIDAY the Bears will begin with a dot-to-dot 1-8 to solve.  The letter is
“E”.  We will cut to glue on a hat.  Our rhyming word is “CAT”. Everyone will make a cloud craft, share their newspapers and behavior book and have SHOW AND TELL.

MARCH * our theme is Ice Cream.  We will make Ice Cream sundaes on Tues and Wed- complete with chocolate or strawberry syrup, whipped cram, sprinkles, and a cherry on top. 

We will build our Leprechaun traps on Thurs for the Tues-Thurs class.  Any parent who wishes to help should arrive about 11 am.  We will have boxes, string, tape, paper, and lots of creative ideas!

Mon-Wed-Fri class will make their traps on Mon the 15^th.  Parents are invited in to help then also.

March 15 the theme is Leprechauns and we will check our traps on Tues and Wed.  We never seem to be able to catch Louie the Leprechaun, but sometimes we catch his hat or his shoes or his shirt.  WE hope we can find his pot of gold to share!

March 22 the theme is Easter and we will have our Beach Parties on Tues and Wed.  Everyone may wear summer shorts and bring a beach towel.  We will play at the beach, go fishing, swimming, have hot dogs, and learn about water and sun safety.

Easter parties will be held on March 30 and 31.  Sign up lists for snacks will be posted.
