September books should arrive this week.  I will place a note in your child’s locker when your order has arrived.  Just ask one of the teachers for your order.  This way the children do not view the orders until the parents are ready.

OCTOBER tuition is due this week.

Paper and snack items needed for October are:

Juice, crackers, carrot sticks, grapes, cookies, etc.

Small paper plates, tissues, paper towels, antibacterial soap, THANKS SO MUCH!

This week our theme is COMMUNITY HELPERS and our color is yellow.  If anyone would like to visit TBC and discuss their occupation with the children, we would love it.  Just let me know.  For our yellow snack the children will be making butter.  We will place heavy cream in containers and the children will shake them until the cream turns into butter.  Add a shake of salt for flavor and they will spread it on crackers for their snack.

MONDAY the students will begin by solving a maze.  The letter is “L”.  We will color and paint with yellow.  We will continue snipping strips of paper to glue onto a wolf picture.  Last week everyone did a fantastic job with the scissors and they all remembered their safety rules all week.  GREAT JOB!  Everyone will make a post card to mail to themselves.

TUESDAY the class will begin with a Healthy Habit paper about sneezing.  Everyone will color and paint with yellow.  We will color and stamp post cards to mail to each Bear.

WEDNESDAY the children will begin by solving a maze.  The letter is “M”.  Everyone will snip strips of paper and glue them onto a whale picture.  The Science topic is our Spine.  Everyone will make a spine tie.  They loved their brain hats last week.  We discussed many brain facts.  Ask them what the brain is made of, when does it stop growing, and what does it do.

THURSDAY the children will begin with a Healthy Habit paper about wiping their feet when they come in the house.  The shape to find and trace is rectangles.  Everyone will share their newspapers and behavior book.  We will make people with different jobs in our community.  SHOW AND TELL will be held today!!!

FRIDAY the class will begin by solving a maze.  The letter is “N”.  Everyone will snip strips of paper and glue them onto a mouse picture.  We will find and trace rectangles.  Everyone will make people with different jobs.  We will share our newspapers and behavior book.  SHOW AND TELL will be held today!!!

October 8, 9, 10 there is no school due to Columbus Day.  Classes resume on Thursday, Oct. 11^th with a theme of Columbus.

October 15 the theme is Fire Safety and the color is Red.  IF anyone knows any firemen, we would love to have a visit and safety talk this week, if possible.

October 22 theme is Halloween and the color is Orange.

October 29^th theme is Halloween and the color is black.

HALLOWEEN PARTIES will be held on Tues, Oct, 30^th and Wed., Oct. 31^st beginning at 10am.  Students should arrive at the regular class time-in costume.  Parents and other guests should meet us outside at 10am.  We will parade to the Journal office on Main Street to have a picture taken for the Journal newspaper.  Parents and siblings, etc. are invited to parade with us.  We also hope some will treat the children as we walk down and back.  This is their favorite part.  We will have snacks and a Halloween movie when we return to TBC.  Sign up lists will be posted for special Halloween snacks.
