The Bears decided making butter was very hard work.  They had to shake and shake the cream before it turned into butter.   But they did love the butter on bread!

The book orders should be back this week.  Any orders will be placed in the children’s lockers.

Class and individual pictures will be taken on Monday, October 15th and Tuesday, October 16th during class time.  Deb Swiecki from Framing Moments in Adams has taken the Bears’ photos for several years.  She always does a great job.  Please see the attached form for costs, packages, etc.

SHOW AND TELL is Thursday and Friday!

This week our theme is Community Workers and our color is GREEN.  We will make Green Eggs and Ham for our snack.  Everyone will color a post card and we will mail the cards  to the child.  Watch your mail!

MONDAY the class will begin by finding the SAME items.  Their letter is “J”.  Everyone will SNIP strips of paper and flue them onto a  wolf picture. We will paint and color GREEN.  Everyone will help make green eggs and ham and a post card. We will learn about post men and farmers.

TUESDAY the Bears will begin by finding the SMALL items in each row.  They will color and paint with GREEN.  We will make green eggs and ham and color a post card.  Our letter is “G”.  We will learn about postmen and farmers.

WEDNESDAY the children will begin by finding the SAME items in each row.  Their letter is “K”.  We will SNIP and glue to a whale picture.  Our Science topic is our Seasons.  The children did a wonderful job using the scissors last week.  They followed all our safety scissor rules and cut very carefully.

THURSDAY the students will begin by finding the BIG items.  Their letter is “H”.  Our shape is Rectangle.  We will learn about teachers and construction workers.  Everyone will share their newspaper and behavior  book.  We will have SHOW AND TELL.

FRIDAY we will begin by finding the SAME.  Our letter is “L”.  We will SNIP and glue onto a mouse picture. The shape is RECTANGLE.  We will make a teacher and construction craft.  Everyone will share their newspaper and behavior book.  We will have SHOW AND TELL!.

There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 8th due to Columbus holiday at South Jeff schools.  Our theme on October 9th will be Columbus and our color will be purple.

October 15th our theme is Fire Safety and our color is RED.  We will have pictures taken that week.  We also hope to have the Adams Fire Department drop by for a visit.

October 22nd and October 29th themes are HALLOWEEN.  We are planning our Halloween parades and parties for Tuesday, October 30th and Wednesday, October 31st.  More on these events later.
