It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas around this area.  The Christmas parade and all this white snow is reminding everyone that winter is near and Christmas is just around the corner.

We will be making lots and lots of Christmas crafts and gifts the next three weeks.  Some will be surprises, too.

The Christmas programs and parties will be held Tues., Dec 11th and Wed., Dec 12 at 10 am in our classrooms.  Sign up lists for snacks are on the front table.  Each child needs to bring in a gift to exchange-value of $5.00.  Just write your child’s name on the tag FROM.  I will fill in the TO part.  If you are bringing a younger child and would like them to receive a gift, just write the child’s name and SIBLING on the tag.  The children will sing several songs and skits for their parents.  Santa will arrive and have a picture taking session with each child and their wish list.  There letters to Santa will be hanging over their lockers for parents to check.  Santa will hand out all the gifts to the children. Then we will have refreshments. If you have any questions, please call me-232-2230. 

With the weather and all our storms, it is time for school delays and snow days.  If South Jeff is closed, so is TBC.  If South Jeff is delayed two hours, we will be closed.  If you ever wonder what we are doing, please call me at 232-2230 or 771-7956.

SHOW AND TELL will be held this Thursday and Friday.  Children may bring in a special item from home to show and tell the class.  In the past we have had books, toys, trucks, dolls, stuffed animals, even a few live dogs or cats, a favorite dress or shirt or backpack, etc.  Any item usually works well.  This encourages each child to stand in front of the class and talk about their item. 

Please remember our SHARING BOX by the door.  Instead of bringing in a snack item this month, we are asking for a non-perishable item for our Sharing Box.  The box will be taken to the Rhode Center for their Christmas boxes.  We had to start a second box!! WONDERFUL!

Paper items needed are copier paper and construction paper.  THANKS so much for your support of these items.  It helps keep our tuition costs down.

MONDAY the class will begin with a maze to solve.  They will cut on the lines.  Everyone will color with red.  We will begin our Secret Parent gifts.  We will decorate our tree.

TUESDAY the class will begin by finding the DIFFERENT item in each row.  They liked the SAME item and did not like to color the DIFFERENT one last week.  They will color with red and work on parent gifts. Everyone will help to decorate our tree.

WEDNESDAY the class will begin with a maze.  They will cut on the lines.  We will work on Christmas presents.

THURSDAY the children will begin by finding the different item in each row.  They will find the BOTTOM-last week was the TOP.  Everyone will make a Rudolph Candy Cane ornament to bring home.  We will have Show and Tell.

FRIDAY the class will begin with a maze.  They will cut on the lines.  Everyone will make a Rudolph Candy Cane, share their newspapers and listen to a behavior book. We will also have Show and Tell.

In January we will begin our SPECIAL EVENTS.  Each Tues and Wed we will have a Special Event.  These activities are fun and educational.  Some of our Events will be a slumber party, a beach party, Leprechaun traps, Stone Soup, Pancakes, a SunDae day, etc.
