Winter is still here!  Just a reminder that if South Jeff is closed, TBC is also closed.  If South Jeff is delayed 2 hours, TBC is closed.

February tuition is due now.

February book order flyers will be placed in lockers this week.  Any orders are due by the 15th.  Everyone received a $5.00 coupon on orders last week stapled to your newsletters.

This week our theme is Ground hogs and our Special Event is a Beach Party.  Students may wear their summer clothes and bring a towel.  We will learn about summer, sun, water and sun safety.  The children will put on sunscreen(pretend) and lay on the beach.  We will pretend to go swimming and fishing in a boat.  Everyone will enjoy a picnic lunch of hot dogs and rolls, chips, pickles, soda, and a special desert.  WE hope to return to TBC in time for dismissal.

SHOW AND TELL will be this THURSDAY AND FRIDAY!

Our VALENTINE parties will be held on Tuesday, February 12th and Wednesday, February 13th.  Sign up lists for snack are on the front table.  Valentine class lists were sent home last week.  Valentines may be brought in any time=the earlier the better to help the teachers sort them for each student.

MONDAY the class will begin with a 1-5 dot-to-dot to solve.  The letter is “w”.  Our number is “5” and our story is Henny Penny.  Everyone will cut acorns and glue the counted number to each tree.  We will make a groundhog puppet.

TUESDAY the Bears will begin by finding the items that are PAIRS.  Our number is “5” and our story is Henny Penny.  Our letter is “I”.  Everyone will make a groundhog puppet and go to the beach!

WEDNESDAY the children will begin with a dot-to-dot paper 1-5.  Our letter is “x”.  We will cut ground hogs.  Everyone will have a Math paper to solve.  Our Science project is SHADOWS.  We will go to the Beach!

THURSDAY the students will begin by finding the PAIRS.  Their letter is “J”.  They will have a Math paper to solve, and a match the shadow paper.  We will share our weekly readers and our behavior books.  SHOW AND TELL today!

FRIDAY we will begin with a dot-to-dot 1-5 paper to solve.  Our letter is “y”.  We will cut flowers.  Our rhyming word is KING.  Everyone will have a Math paper to solve, weekly reader to share and listen to our behavior book.

February 18-22 there is NO SCHOOL.  This is South Jeff’s Winter Break.  Classes resume on Monday the 25th.

February 25th our theme is Our Presidents.  Our Special Event will be having a birthday party for George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Barack Obama.  We will have cupcakes, hats, etc. as we learn about these men.

March 4th our theme is Picnic in the Snow.  Our special event will be a Snow Picnic on that Tues and Wed.  The children will have sandwiches, chips, pickles, and soda.

March 11th our theme is LEPRECHAUNS.  We will build their traps on Tues and Wed that week.  Any parent who would like to help build those traps, please come in about 11am.  We never manage to catch him, but we sure have lots of fun trying!!
