Everyone loved the Presidents’ birthday parties last week.  Hopefully the Bears will remember a few facts about each President.

February book orders arrived this weekend and will be placed in lockers this week.

March book order flyers will be placed in lockers this week.  They are due by the 15th.

March tuition is due now.

SHOW AND TELL will be this Thursday and Friday.

Our theme this week is SNOW and our Special Event is a Picnic in the Snow.   Our menu will be bologna or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chips, pickles, carrot sticks, juice and a special desert.  We will also have a “snowball” fight with cotton balls!!

MONDAY the children will begin by finding the DIFFERENT items in each row.  The number is “8” and our story is the Shoemaker and the Eight Elves.  Our letter is “Cc”.  Everyone will work on a Math paper.  We will make a rainbow, cherry tree and a log cabin.

TUESDAY the Bears will begin by finding the BIG items in each area.  Their number is “7” and the story is Seven Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.  Our letter is “M”.  Everyone will make a cherry tree and a log cabin with paint.  They will make a rainbow with markers.  We will have our Snow Picnic.

WEDNESDAY the class will begin by finding the DIFFERENT items in each row.  The letter is “D,d” to trace and write.  Our Science Unit will be catching an ice cube with a string.  Our Sight Words are “ME” and “TOO”.  Everyone will have a math paper to solve. We will have a cutting paper.  We will have our Snow Picnic.

THURSDAY the students will begin by finding the SMALL items in each row.  They will find the items that are “ON”.  Their letter is “N” to trace and print.  Everyone will make a LION-LAMB for our March weather.  We will share our newspapers and behavior books.  We will have SHOW AND TELL.

FRIDAY we will find the DIFFERENT items in each section.  Everyone will work on a math paper.  We will cut and glue the Presidents.  Our rhyming word is GOAT.  Our letter is “Ee”.  We will make a LION-LAMB, share our newspapers and behavior boos.  We will have SHOW AND TELL.

Supplies needed this month are copier paper, Kleenexes, cupcake holders(used to put their snacks in), juices, any snack items-carrot sticks, crackers, cheese, any fruits, cereals-used to make a snack mix, etc.  Thank you for all your support.

Next week we will be making our LEPRECHAUN TRAPS on TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY.  Parents are invited to help and may come in around 11am on Tuesday the 12th and Wednesday the 13th.  We will need boxes, tape, yarn, paper, cardboard tubes, stickers, anything to help make our traps strong.  We try each year to catch Louie the Leprechaun, but so far have been unsuccessful.  We did catch some clothes last year and his pot of gold!

March 18th our theme is VACATIONS and our Special Event is a Train Ride.  We will visit Barney, the Three Little Pigs and a couple of surprises.  Everyone will eat their snack on the train-in the dining car.  If they lose their tickets, the conductor will not be happy!

March25th our theme will be EASTER and our Special Event will be our Easter party (with an egg hunt and coloring eggs) on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Snack lists are posted on teachers’ table.
