May 05 - May 09, 2008

Everyone loved the Dinosaur Stampede-noisy, stamping, growling creatures parading inside and outside!  What fun we had.

This week we are moving on to smaller animals-bugs!  Where do they live, what do they eat, how many legs do they have, and what do they do all day?  We will have a BUG BALL on Tues and Wed this week.

REGISTRATION FORMS for the 2008 fall session are available.  They are in a folder on the front table.  Please sign your child’s name and phone number.  This would allow me to notify you when we are holding our Open House,

ART SHOW will be held this Saturday, May 10th from 10am until 2 pm.  We hope everyone has an opportunity to stop by for a few minutes and check out the children’s wonderful art projects.  There will be a bake sale with wonderful things to eat.  We will also have a raffle happening.  James Bradberry’s family is donating a basket full of wonderful things.

Avon has donated a basket full of their products, and TBC will have a certificate worth $25.00 towards tuition in the fall session.  Raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00 and you may place your tickets in the container in front of the raffle basket you want. Winners will be drawn at Moving Up Day Ceremony in June.

Our Spring FUND RAISER started last week and will continue until May 20th.

Avon HEAD TO TOE products, including their Bug Guard lotion and spray, will  be sold by the children and their parents.  Each student received a flyer last week.  Please remember to add sales tax to each order.  The sales tax rate in Jefferson County is 0.0775.  Products will be delivered in 10 days.

TBC holds two fundraisers each year-a candle sale in the fall and an Avon fundraiser  in the spring.  Both fundraisers help keep our tuition at a very reasonable rate.  We really appreciate your support in all our endeavors at TBC.

This week we will be very busy finishing Art projects, learning about Bugs, and working on Mother’s Day gifts.

MONDAY the class will begin with a 1-10 dot-to-dot paper.  The letter is “Jj”.  The number is “5”.  Everyone will cut windows for a house.

TUESDAY the children will begin by finding all the items on TOP.  Their number is “6”.  We will have a Bug Ball.

WEDNESDAY the students will begin with a dot-to-dot 1-10 to solve.  The letter is “Kk”.  Everyone will cut balls for the clown to juggle.  We will have a Bug Ball.

THURSDAY the children will begin by finding all the items on the BOTTOM.  We will review the CIRCLE shape.  We will make a bug, share our behavior book and our newspaper.

FRIDAY the class will begin with a dot-to-dot 1-10 paper.  The letter is “Ll”.  Everyone will cut ice cream shapes to glue on their cones.  We will make bugs, share our behavior books and our newspapers.

May tuition is due now.

June tuition is ˝ the regular monthly tuition.  Classes are only 2 weeks in June.

We need baked goods for our Bake sale on Saturday.  Items may be brought in Friday during class time, if desired.

If anyone wishes to donate items for a raffle, please let me know.

We are so thankful for the support the parents give us each year.  THANKS SO MUCH!!
