January 7-11, 2013

January book order flyers will be placed in lockers this week.  Any orders are due by January 15 please.

This week we will begin our SPECIAL EVENTS.  On Monday and Tuesday the Bears will mix, pour, flip and eat PANCAKES for our snack.  We will share our PANCAKES books.   Everyone will share and cooperate to help with this project.  They always LOVE pancakes!!

January 15th and 16th we will have our annual ANIMAL PARADE.  Each child may bring a stuffed animal to school that day.  We will learn about each animal-where they live, what they eat, what they have for protection, etc.  There will be a BIG parade with lots of prizes!

January 22nd and 23rd we will make our GINGERBREAD BEAR.  Everyone will help mix the batter and pour it into our special Bear pan.  We will send it to Ms. Tina’s house to bake in her oven.  She will have her dog Buddy guard the oven until the Bear is done.  Then she will bring him to us and we will have our snack with whipped cream on top.  Hopefully, he will not run away from us!?!

January 29th and 30th will be our annual SLUMBER PARTY.  The children may come to school in their pajamas and bring a blanket or a sleeping bag.  Please label everything.  We will learn about night time, the moon and stars, nocturnal animals, people who work at night, etc.  In the past this event has always occurred when the winter weather was at its worse.  I am not sure how this happens, but every year it is very cold and snowy during our Slumber Parties.

IF SOUTH JEFF is closed, TBC is also closed.

If SOUTH JEFF is delayed 2 hours, TBC is closed.
