November
Book Orders are due by Nov. 12th.
Remember you can place your orders on line by going to scholastic
bookclubs.com. The
instructions and pass words are on our web site-www.teddybearcorner.net.
If you have any problems, please let me know. November
tuition is due now, please. Items
needed this month are wipes for hands and faces, juices, and copier paper.
Thanks in advance for all you support. This
week we are learning about Things under Our Feet.
Our circle topic is Mice. MONDAY
the children will begin by finding the differences in two pictures.
Our letter is “Y”. Our
color is WHITE and we will draw with white chalk on dark paper.
Everyone will cut blocks and glue them onto our paper.
We will make a Mayflower bag of the items that each child would
take with them on the Mayflower. Always
very interesting to find out what is important for each child to have with
them on a long, long trip.
Everyone will make a Thankful Feather to tape to our BIG turkey. |
TUESDAY
the Bears will begin by finding the SAME items on the papers.
We will use chalk to make our WHITE pictures.
Everyone will make a Thankful Feather for our Turkey.
We will also decorate our chalk board for November.
We will make a door knob decoration. WEDNESDAY
the class will begin with a Topsy-Turvy table to fix.
Our letter is “Z”. Last
week each child had a small chalkboard, chalk and an eraser.
As I wrote the letters on the big board, each child wrote the same
letter on their small board. They
loved it!! We got all the way
to “M” with each student making the letters very well.
We will continue with this exercise this week.
I also have stuffed, soft colorful alphabet letters that we are
using to learn our letters. Everyone
will make a door knob decoration and a Turkey for our Bulleting Board. |
The
week of Nov. 14th we will learn about the Pilgrims and Native
Americans. The children will
also help with a Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday and Wednesday.
I will supply a cooked turkey and the students will help make
mashed potatoes, corn, buttered rolls, pickles, carrot sticks, and a
special dessert. November
21 we will learn about the Thanksgiving Turkey.
There is NO SCHOOL on Wed, the 23rd, Thurs. there 24th,
and Fri, the 25th due to Thanksgiving holiday. Our
annual Christmas programs will be held on Tuesday, December 13th
and Wednesday, December 14th at 10am.
The children will have a short program for their parents at 10am.
Santa should arrive about 10:15 and each child has the opportunity
to sit on his lap-if they wish-and tell him what they want for Christmas.
Santa will then pass out the exchanged presents’ Thanks
so much for the support. Cindy
