WELCOME TO TEDDY BEAR CORNER! This is the first newsletter            for the fall session.  The purpose of the newsletter is to let you know what we plan to do each class day. It also allows you to discuss your child’s day and let them know that their day is important to you.  Sometimes we do not get to finish everything we plan, but we try.

Please complete your child’s registration and immunization forms and bring them to TBC as soon as possible.  We need any updates regarding sitters, home addresses and emergency phone numbers.  If there is someone who should not pick up your child, please make sure that information is written on our forms.  We are very careful with our Bears.  Sometimes people get upset because if their name is not on your list to collect your child, I will not release the child to them without checking with a parent first.

Tuition and Registration fees are due this week, please.

Registration fee is $25.00 once per year

Tuition is:

2 days a week-$60.00 per month

3 days a week-$75.00 per month

Each week we have a theme to build our program around.  This week our theme is BEAR FRIENDS.  We will learn about Bears and our friends at TBC.  Our color is BROWN and every one will paint and color with BROWN.  Our snack will be making chocolate pudding-brown-each day.  Our shape is SQUARE and everyone will trace and find the SQUARE shapes. 

TUESDAY the children will begin by tracing the lines from the Bears to their honey pots.  Everyone will paint and color with BROWN.  Our craft will be a Bear paper bag puppet.  We will make chocolate pudding and have milk and crackers with it for our snack.

WEDNESDAY the class will begin by solving a maze.  Our Alphabet Unit begins with the letter “A” to trace and find.  Our Cutting Unit begins by tearing strips of paper and gluing them onto a picture.  Everyone will color and paint with BROWN.  The Science Unit begins with HIBERNATION.  Everyone will place a paper bear onto a dish of warm water and watch him “wake up”.  We will make a Bear paper bag puppet.

THURSDAY the students will begin by following the lines from the Bears to their flowers, bees, and honey pots.  The Shape is SQUARES to find and trace.  Everyone will make a bear puzzle to bring home.  We will share our behavior book. The newspapers are on back order, but should arrive soon.

FRIDAY the children will begin by solving a maze.  The letter is “B”.  Our cutting unit picture is a fish.  Our shape is squares.  We will make a Bear puzzle and share our behavior books.

UPCOMING THEMES for the month of September are:

Sept 14 theme is Mother Goose and the color is GREEN.  We will make green eggs and ham.

Sept 21 theme is Over Our Heads and the color is Blue.  Our snack will be blue Jell-O.

Sept 28 theme is fall and the color is yellow.  We will make butter for our snack.

Each month I ask each family to bring in one paper product and one snack item.  This month we need 5 oz. paper cups, small paper plates, napkins, paper towels, construction paper, or copier paper.  For snack items we need juices, crackers, carrot sticks, cereals, cheese, grapes, etc.
