Everyone loves apples!  We made apple slices and apple sauce for snacks last week.  We had cheese and crackers, too.  What a great fall snack!  When you cut an apple in two pieces from side to side, there is a star shape with the seeds in it.  Everyone loved playing Johnny Appleseed and spreading seeds everywhere.

Pictures arrived last week and were handed out.  If anyone wants more copies, just call Debbie.  She keeps the negatives-just in case.  The pictures were beautiful!

NOVEMBER TUITIONS ARE DUE NOW.

NOVEMBER BOOK ORDERS are due by the 12^th

Our theme this week is Under our Feet and the color is brown.

MONDAY the class will begin by finding the rhyming words.  The letter is “Y” to trace and write.  Our Cutting Unit advances to Cutting on the Lines.  The students are very careful when they use the scissors.   They carry them by the blades and pointing down.  They only cut paper!  Everyone puts their fingers in the bigger hole and their thumbs in the smaller hole.  We will make a turkey for the Bulleting Board.  We will also dress our chalk board turkey with Thankful Feathers.  Everyone will make a mouse puppet and learn the Five Little Mice finger play.

TUESDAY the children will begin by finding the PAIRS.  Everyone will color with BROWN.  We will make a mouse puppet, a turkey for the bulletin board, and a thankful feather.

WEDNESDAY THERE IS NO SCHOOL DUE TO VETERAN”S DAY.

THURSDAY the Bears will begin by matching the PAIRS.  The shape is OVAL to find and trace.  Everyone will make a squirrel and a raccoon to bring home.  We will share our newspapers and our behavior book.

FRIDAY THERE IS NO SCHOOL DUE TO CONFERENCES AT SOUTH JEFF.

November 16 the theme is THANKSGIVING and we will have our Thanksgiving feast on Tuesday and Wednesday.  The children will all help prepare turkey, potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce, rolls, milk, and ice cream for desert.

November 23 the theme is THEANKSGIVING and there is NO SCHOOL on Wed, the 25^th, Thurs the 26^th, and Fri the 27^th.

November 30 our theme is WINTER.

SHOW AND TELL was held last Thursday and Friday.  The treasures that were shared were:

WHEW!  THEY LOVE SHOW AND TELL!
