Our VISION TESTING by the South Jefferson Lions Club and The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired of Jefferson County will be held on Tuesday, January 17th and Wednesday, January 18th beginning at 8:45am.  Please check to make sure your form has been filled out and handed in to the teachers.  Parents are invited to watch the screenings.  Results will be sent directly to the parents.

Our WISH LIST for snack and paper products is long this month.  We need juices, tissues for lots of runny noses, paper towels for lots of dirty, wet hands, copier paper, and assorted snack items.  THANKS FOR HELPING US  keep our tuition prices reasonable.

This week our theme is ANIMALS.

MONDAY the class will begin with a letter paper.  Our number this week is “2” and our story is Jack and Jill.  Everyone will cut buckets and glue the correct number to

each well.  This involves cutting, counting, and gluing.  Our letters continue with the letter “R”.  Everyone will make a WHALE with their finger paints.

TUESDAY the Bears will begin by finding the SAME items in each row.  They are finding the SAME items very quickly now.  Our number is “2” to trace and write.  They also count 2 M&M’s.  Everyone will continue our Season unit with a Fall paper.  We will fingerpaint WHALES.

WEDNESDAY the children will begin with a SAME sound paper.  The letter is “S”.  We will cut and glue a Bear Puzzle.  Our SCIENCE UNIT will involve freezing and thawing water.  They love messy projects!

THURSDAY the students will begin with the SAME things to find.  The number “2” will be reviewed.  We will learn more about FALL season.  Everyone will make a RACCOON and share their newspapers.

FRIDAY we will begin by finding the items that begin with the “T” sound. Everyone will make a clown puzzle.  Our letter is “T”.  We will make a raccoon and share our newspapers.
