Green eggs and ham looks very GREEN when the Bears finished mixing the eggs, but they tasted delicious!  I took pictures of each child cracking their egg to add to our dish.  The expressions on their faces as the shell broke are just priceless.

October book flyers will be placed in lockers this week.  Any orders are due back by the 17^th.  Orders may be placed on line by going to www.scholastic.com and following the directions.  TBC receives a free book for each on-line order.

Class and Individual pictures will be taken on Monday, October 15^th and Tuesday, October 16^th at the beginning of class time.  Deb Swiecki from Framing Moments will take the photos.  Please fill out the information sheet and return with payment on the day of the pictures.  Siblings may also have their pictures taken-alone or with their siblings. Any questions, please call Deb at 232-9698.

This week our theme is COLUMBUS and our color is PURPLE.  Our snack will be purple grapes.

TUESDAY the children will begin by finding the TALL items in each row.  Their letter is “I”.  The color is PURPLE.  We will make a telescope and color a sailing ship.

WEDNESDAY the Bears will begin by finding items of the SAME SIZE.  The letter is “M”.  We will SNIP paper and glue the pieces onto a Dinosaur picture.  Our Science topic is SEASONS.  We will make a telescope and a sailing ship.

THURSDAY the students will begin by finding the LONG items in each row.  The letter is “J”.  Our shape is SQUARE.  We will make a paper plate parrot; share our newspapers and behavior books.

FRIDAY we will begin by finding the SAME SIZE.  Our letter is “N”.  We will SNIP paper and glue the pieces onto a turtle picture.  Our shape is SQUARE.  We will make a paper plate parrot; share our newspapers and our behavior books.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

October 15 the theme is Fire Safety and our color is RED.  Hopefully we will have the Adams Fire Department visit this week.

OCTOBER 22 and 29 our theme is HALLOWEEN.  We are planning our annual Halloween Parades and Parties on Tuesday, October 30^th and Wednesday, October 31^st at 10am.  Students should arrive at school at the regular time-in their costumes.  At 10am we will parade down Spring Street-weather permitting.  Parents may join in our parade, siblings are also welcome.  Parents may also TREAT the children, as they parade, with special treats.  Students will have bags with them.  After the parade everyone is invited back inside for snacks.  Sign up lists for snacks will be posted on the front table.

We need: wipes for the children’s faces and hands.  Juices, snack items, paper cups, paper towels, construction paper, copier paper, etc.  Thanks for helping us with all our supplies.
