March 10 - 14, 2008

Well we missed another Wednesday last week-I think that makes 5!!!  WOW!  That has never happened to us before!  We have lots of Special Events to make up when the weather gets better.

Book orders for March were handed out last week.  They are due back by Fri, March 14th.

March tuition is due, please.

Easter party sign up lists are on the front table.

This week we will learn about Leprechauns, St. Patrick, shamrocks, and Ireland .  The Special Event is building a Leprechaun trap on Thurs and Fri.  We need toilet tissue tubes, paper towel tubes, string, tape, boxes, anything that the children can use to make a huge trap to try to catch the Leprechaun when he visits our class room this weekend.  In the past we never catch him, but he makes a horrible mess at TBC and a couple of times we have found his pot of gold!!  Parents are invited to come back at 11 to help build the traps-its lots of fun and a huge mess!!

MONDAY the class will begin by finding MANY items in each row.  The letter is “T”.  The number is “9”.  They will cut, count and paste kittens in numbered baskets.  They are last Wednesday.  Everyone will make a ST. Patrick’s Day craft.

TUESDAY the children will begin by finding the BIG items in each row.  The number to count and trace is “10”.  We will make Leprechaun crafts; learn new songs, and games.

WEDNESDAY the students will begin by finding the FEW items in each row.  The letter is “U”.  Everyone will cut and paste items in the forest.  We will try to catch up on all our science projects.

THURSDAY the children will begin by finding the SMALL items in each row.  The color review is RED.  The concept is OFF and ON.  Everyone will make crafts, share their newspapers, and behavior books.  We will make a trap.

FRIDAY the students will find MORE items in each row.  The letter is “V”.  We will cut bears.  Our rhyming word is GOAT.  Everyone will make crafts, share newspapers, and behavior books.  We will make a leprechaun trap.

Ted. E. Bear has begun his visits to students’ homes and having many adventures.  It was great fun to read the visits he’s had in the past years.  Several of the students had siblings that Ted had visited.  He will go home with a different student each class and be returned the next class.
