WELCOME to TEDDY BEAR CORNER!  We hope everyone enjoys their time with the Bears as much as the teachers do.  If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 232-2230 or 771-7956.

Remember to hand in your Registration sheets as quickly as possible.  This helps us with allergies and dismissals.  If your address or phone number change during the year, please remember to notify us.

This week our theme is BEAR FRIENDS and our color is BROWN.

MONDAY the Bears will begin by tracing the lines from the bears to the honey pots.  Everyone will paint with brown.  We will color a bear brown.  Our Alphabet Unit begins with the letter “A” to trace and write.  Everyone will finger paint eyes on their bears.  Our Cutting Unit begins by tearing strips of construction paper and gluing them onto a bear picture.  Everyone will help mix our chocolate pudding for our snack.

TUESDAY the children will begin by tracing lines from the bears to their honey pots.  We will color a big bear brown.  Everyone will paint with brown.  We will finger-paint eyes onto our bears.  We will begin with the letter “A” to trace and print.  Everyone will help mix chocolate pudding for our snack.

WEDNESDAY the class will begin with a maze to solve-getting the bear to his honey pot.  Our letter is “B”.  We will tear strips and glue them onto a fish picture.  Everyone will use glue sticks to make a bear puzzle.  Our Science unit begins with HIBERNATION.  This will involve paper bears and water-one of their favorite science loves is messy water!

THURSDAY the students will begin by tracing lines from the bears to things they like to eat.  Everyone will use glue sticks and make a bear picture.  We will also make bear puppets with paper bags.  Our letter is “B” and our shape is SQUARES.  We will share our newspapers and our behavior books.

FRIDAY we will begin with a matching paper to solve.  Our letter is “C”.  We will trace and find the square shapes.  Everyone will make a bear picture and a bear puppet.  Our cutting unit continues with tearing strips and gluing them onto a tree picture.  Everyone will share their newspapers and our behavior books.

Each month I ask each family to bring in one snack item and one paper product.  My Wish List for this month is paper towels, Clorox wipes, glue sticks, magic markers, copier paper, juices of all kinds for our snacks, carrots, grapes, cheese, crackers, cereals, small paper plates, cupcake papers, small plastic bags-sandwich or quart ,small paper bags, THANKS SO MUCH for your support with this.

September 17 our theme is OVER OUR HEADS and our color is BLUE.  Our snack will be BLUE JELLO.

September 23 our theme is MOTHER GOOSE and our color is YELLOW.  We will make butter by shaking heavy cream in jars.

Book order flyers will be placed in lockers this week.  Any orders are due back by September 21st.  Orders arrive in 1-2 weeks. Orders are placed in the child’s locker.
