February 11-15, 2013

Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!  The weather has certainly messed up our schedule of Special Events this year.  Any events that were not held due to weather will be rescheduled.

The Tuesday-Thursday class loved their Beach Party last week.  They played in our pretend water and had a picnic lunch of hot dogs!  The loved pretending the sea gulls were causing problems!  They have wonderful imaginations!

Book orders are due this week by the 15th.

February tuition is due not.

THERE IS NO SCHOOL DURING THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 18-22.  This is Winter Break at South Jeff.  Classes will resume on Monday, Feb. 25th and our theme will be Our Presidents.  Our Special Event will be a birthday party for the Presidents.

This week our theme is VALENTINES.  We will have our Valentine Parties on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  Class lists for Valentines were sent home for each class.  Sign up lists for the parties are posted on the teachers’ table.

MONDAY the children will begin with a 1-5 dot-to-dot to solve.  Our number is “6” and the story is The Six Foolish Fishermen.  Our letter is “x”. We will cut groundhogs.  We will make a couple of Valentine crafts, too.

TUESDAY the Bears will begin by tracing hearts.  Their number is “6” to trace and count M&M’s.  They will match the shadows and make Valentine crafts.  We will also play a broken heart game at our Valentine party.

WEDNESDAY the class will begin with a dot-to-dot paper 1-5.  We will cut flowers and count with our Math paper.  Our letter is “y”.  We will finish our Valentine crafts and have our party.

THURSDAY the students will begin by tracing the love bugs.  They will have a counting paper to solve.  We will also try a Things that GO paper.  We will finish our crafts; share our newspapers and our behavior books.

FRIDAY we will begin by matching hearts.  We will finish our Gingerbread men.  Our math paper is 1-5 numbers.  Our Rhyming paper is the word KING.  Everyone will cut hearts.  We will have SHOW AND TELL; share our newspapers and our behavior book.
