Fund Raising orders were due last week.

November book flyers are in lockers this week.  Any orders are due back by the 20th.

November tuition is due now please.

This week our theme is THANKSGIVING.  We will be discussing Pilgrims, Indians (Native Americans), Plymouth Rock, America then and now.  Everyone will also tell us what they would pack in a pillow case to carry on the Mayflower.

Tuesday and Wednesday we will have our annual Thanksgiving feasts.  The children will help prepare the corn, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and rolls.  The turkey and a special desert will also round out the menu.

TUESDAY the class will begin by tracing the lines of different school tools.  Their letter is “S”.  They will color with BROWN.  We will make a Thanksgiving craft and share our Thanksgiving Feast.

WEDNESDAY the bears will begin by finding the OPPOSITES on their papers.  Their letter is “Z”.  We will cut on the lines and make a turkey puzzle.  Everyone will share our Thanksgiving Feast.

THURSDAY the children will begin by tracing a rainbow.  Tracing lines helps develop the fine and gross motor skills needed to print and draw.  The letter is “T”.  Our shape is TRIANGLES.  We will make a Pilgrim and Indian picture.  Everyone will share their newspapers and behavior books.

FRIDAY the students will begin by finding the OPPOSITES.  Their letter is lower case “a”.  We will cut on the lines.  Our shape is triangle.  We will share our newspapers and behavior books.  Everyone will make a pilgrim and an Indian craft.

November 19 our theme of Thanksgiving continues and we will learn about TURKEYS!  The children have been singing and playing turkey games.  One is Five Fat Turkeys and the other hand play is The Turkey is a Silly Bird.

There is NO SCHOOL on the 21st, 22nd or 23rd due to Thanksgiving holiday. Classes will resume on the 26th and our theme is Under Our Feet.

December will be a very busy month.  The children will be learning several songs and skits for their Christmas programs.  They will be making Christmas crafts and secret gifts for their parents. 

The Christmas programs and parties will be held on Tuesday, December 11th and Wednesday, December 12th at 10am.  Children should arrive at their regular class time of 9am.  Parents and guests should arrive after 9:45am-PLEASE!

The children will sing songs and perform some skits.  Santa is due to arrive about 10:30 for pictures and wishes.  Refreshments will follow.  Each student is asked to bring in a gift to exchange-valued at $5.00.  Boys bring a boy gift, Girls bring a girl gift.  Please label you child FROM on the tag.  We will exchange them with other students. Santa will hand out the gifts.  Siblings may also receive a gift.  Just mark SIBLING and their name on the tag. Sign up lists for refreshments will be posted later.
