We
all managed to survive the first week at TBC.
We did have a few tears, but they disappeared as soon as the
painting began. All and all it
went very well. WE
are learning names and faces and using the name tags really helps.
There will be one on each locker each class time. THANKS
so much for all the wonderful supplies.
We use lots of paper and juice and snacks each day. Registration
forms need to be handed in quickly. If
you are waiting for your immunizations records, please hand in the
registration part now, if possible. There
will be book order flyers and a letter explaining how to order anything,
if you are interested. There
is NO obligation. TBC receives
1 point for every dollar spent. The
points are used to “buy” items we need-new books, posters, etc. The
book orders for September are due by Friday the 23rd. |
MONDAY
the class will begin by finding the SHORTEST item in each row.
Our letter is “C”. WE
will continue tearing strips of paper and glue them onto a tree paper.
Everyone will color and paint with GREEN.
We will make Humpty Dumpty sitting on his wall. TUESDAY
the children will begin by coloring Humpty Dumpty.
They will color and paint with GREEN.
Everyone will make Humpty on his wall. WEDNESDAY
the Bears will begin by finding the LONGEST item in each row.
We will tear strips and glue them onto a pumpkin picture.
Our letter is “D”. Our
Science Unit will begin with our bodies.
We will learn about our brain-where it is, what is its job, why do
we wear helmets, what is our skull, and everyone will make BRAIN HAT. |
FRIDAY
we will begin by finding the SMALLEST in each row.
Our letter is “E”. Our
tearing strips will be glued onto a starfish paper.
Everyone will trace circles; make a spider and the dog with the
bone. We will share our
newspapers and our behavior books. All
week we will be learning nursery rhymes and new songs. Next
week our theme is OUR TOWN. If
anyone would like to drop by and discuss their job with the class, we
would love it. It does not
have to be a big talk, just a few minutes about what you do.
WE are learning about New York State, the governor, president and
the mayor of Adams. Our
color next week is purple. The
week of the 26th our theme is WATER and our color is blue. THANKS
so much for all your support. Cindy Reardon 232-2230 |
