Winter finally found us and just did not want to stop the Lake Effect once it got started. Three days off from school can really mess a month’s schedule! We will be very busy this week finishing up all our projects and lessons. The Christmas programs and parties were wonderful. The children were just delightful, Santa was loveable and full of humor, the audience was very attentive, and the snacks were amazing. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! For everything you did to help us have such a wonderful time with each class. Don’t forget Santa said he has an abundance of FROGS this year! Notes for December tuition will be in lockers this week. This week our theme is Christmas and our color is RED. MONDAY the Bears will begin by finding the BIG Christmas item in each group. The letter is “G” to find and trace. Everyone will cut on our curvy lines. We will make a horse ornament and a Bear Candy Cane ornament to bring home. TUESDAY the class will begin by finding the Big Christmas item in each group. The color is RED. Everyone will make a horse and a Bear Candy Cane ornament to take home. |
WEDNESDAY the children will color an Elf picture. The letter is “H”. We will cut on the lines. Everyone is working on their parent’s gifts this week in both classes. Very secret stuff going on!!!! THURSDAY the students will begin by coloring a picture of Santa coming. The concept of Off-On will be colored. The shape is a STAR to find and trace and color. Everyone will make a stocking and a wreath and a Welcome Santa sign. FRIDAY the Bears will begin by coloring a Santa is coming picture. The letter is “I”. We will cut on the lines. Everyone will make a stocking, a wreath, and a Welcome Santa Sign. MONDAY the 21st will be a LONG DAY at TBC. Classes will begin at 9am and last until 1pm. This should give the parents a few extra minutes to get ready for the big day. The children will have a snack and a lunch of pizza. We will finish presents and wrap them. There will be several areas full of fun Christmas items to make and share at home. Sometimes we need a longer class to start and finish a craft. If this longer class is a problem for any one, please let me know. TUESDAY the 22nd will be a regular class from 9 till 11:30. There will be NO SCHOOL the rest of that week. Classes will resume on Monday, January 4, 2010. |
Each Tuesday and Wednesday during the winter months, TBC holds SPECIAL EVENTS. January 5th and 6th will be HAT DAY. Everyone may wear a special hat to school. We will have a Hat Parade and everyone will receive a special certificate. January 12th and 13th we will make a GINGERBREAD MAN! The children will mix our batter and help pour it into our special pan. WE will send it to Tina’s house to bake in her oven. When she goes home to get him, sometimes he runs away—just like in the story. We will read the book and play our Gingerbread game. January 19 and 20 we will make STONE SOUP. Each child may bring in something to add to our pot. I will bring a stone and meatballs. We need carrots, celery, potatoes, onions, broth, crackers, noodles, canned veggies-easier for the Bears to chop), etc. What ever you have handy. January 26 and 27 is our annual Slumber Party. Everyone comes in their pajamas and brings a blanket or a sleeping bag. We learn about bedtime and sleeping in our own beds. Always a fun time. Thanks for your support! Cindy Reardon 232-2230 |
