Thank you to everyone who helped at TBC last week.  The nasty bug finally found me and Thank Goodness the gals are willing to work extra!

Stone Soup last week was delicious!  The children were surprised when they tasted it.  It must be that STONE we use!

Because some of the book order flyers arrived late, I will not send the orders in until Wednesday of this week. 

January tuition is due please.

If you need my tax ID number for your taxes, please call me at home and I will read it to you.  Tuition at TBC may be used as a deduction under CHILD CARE on your taxes. If you need a statement from me regarding your payments for this year, let me know.

This week our theme is ANIMALS and our Special Event is an ANIMAL PARADE on Tues and Wed. The Bears may bring their favorite stuffed animal to TBC for a huge parade and prizes.  Please label your child’s name on their animals.

MONDAY the class will begin with a Reading Readiness paper.  The letter is “D”.  We will begin a PHONICS unit today.  Our number is “3” and our story is The Three Little Pigs.  Everyone will cut bricks and count and paste the correct number on each house.  WE will also learn about Mother Bee.

TUESDAY the children will begin by finding the tools that Go Together.  The number to trace, count and write is “3”.  We will listen and act out the Mother Bee story.

WEDNESDAY the students will begin with a Reading Readiness paper to solve.  They will continue with their Phonics.  Our Letter is “E”.  Everyone will begin their Math unit.  Our cutting will move to cutting squares.  Our Science unit is our finger and toe nails.

THURSDAY the children will begin by finding the clothes that Go Together.  They will begin a review of shapes, starting with a circle.  They will continue with “OFF”.  Everyone will listen and play the Fish Story.  We will share our Weekly Readers and our behavior book.

FRIDAY the students will begin with a Reading Readiness paper.  They will continue with phonics and math papers.  The letter is “F”.  Everyone will cut and pate squares.  We will share the Fish Story, our newspapers and our behavior books.

THERE IS NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 21, 2008-Martin Luther King holiday.

January 22 our theme is bedtime and we will have a Slumber Party on Tues and Wed.  Children should come in their pajamas and bring a sleeping bag or a blanket.

January 28^th our theme is Good Food and we will make Pancakes as our Special Event.

February 4 our theme is Valentines and we will hold our annual Beach Party on Tues and Wed.  Students should wear their summer clothes and bring a towel.

Feb. 11^th theme is Valentines and our annual Valentine parties will be held on Wednesday, Feb 13^th and Thursday, Feb 14^th.  Class lists will be handed out next week.  Snack lists for the parties will be posted next week.

Feb 18^th there is NO SCHOOL for this week-winter break.

Feb 25^th theme is our Presidents and we will have a Birthday party for Presidents Washington, Lincoln, and Bush on Tues and Wed.
