The weather has definitely been much wetter this past week.  At least we do not have to shovel it!  YET!
There are several activities happening this month.  Please check your papers very carefully

BOOK order flyers for October were handed out last week.  Orders are due back by this Friday, October 19^th.

Field trip information for the Mon-Wed-Fri class was handed out last Friday.  Permission slips need to be back to me by Monday, October 22^nd.

A Fund Raiser will begin on Monday, October 15^th and conclude on Friday, October 26^th.  Any profit from this sale will be used toward TBC’s expenses.

Halloween parties and parades will be held on Tues., Oct 30^th and Wed., Oct 31^st.  Students should arrive at TBC at the regular class time-in costume.  We will parade to the Journal office on Main Street.  Parents and siblings are encouraged to parade with us and we would love to see costumes-if possible.  Treaters are adults who pass out treats to the children as they parade-going and/or coming.  The Bears love treats.  I have special bags for each child to carry.  After the parade everyone will return to TBC for refreshments and a special movie.  Sign up lists for snacks are posted on the front table (finally!)

This week our theme is FIRE SAFETY and our color is RED.  I think we will have some special visitors on Mon and Tues with a big truck for the children to check out.

MONDAY the class will begin by finding the SAME items in each row.  They will SNIP paper and glue the pieces onto a turtle paper.  The letter is “P”.  We will color and paint with RED.  Everyone will make a fire truck with ladder and hose.

TUESDAY the children will begin with a Before I Write paper.  They will color and paint with red.  Everyone will make a fire truck with a ladder and hose.

WEDENSDAY the students will begin by finding the same things in each row.  The letter is “Q”.  We will SNIP and glue on a duck paper.  Our SCIENCE topic is OUR LUNGS.

THURSDAY the children will begin by following the lines.  The shape is HEART to find and trace.  Everyone will make a Fire Safety booklet.  We will share our newspapers and our behavior book.

FRIDAY the class will begin by finding the SAME items in each row.  The letter is “R”.  We will SNIP and flue onto a rabbit paper.  Everyone will find and trace the heart shapes.  We will make a Fire Safety booklet; share our newspapers and our behavior book.

October 22 and 29 our theme will be HALLOWEEN.

SHOW AND TELL will be NOV. 1^st and 2^nd.

November themes:

Nov. 4^th theme is UNDER THE SEA

Nov. 12 there is NO SCHOOL due to Veteran’s day holiday.

Nov 13 and Nov 19 our theme is THANSKGIVING.  We will have our annual Thanksgiving feasts on Tues the 13^th and Wed the 14^th.  The children will help prepare turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, milk and ice cream for desert.  There will be NO SCHOOL on Wed, Nov 21, Thurs., Nov 22, and Fri, Nov 23^rd-Thanksgiving holiday.

Nov 26^th our theme is penguins.
