We have had a very busy first full week of school.  There were a few tears, but they seemed to stop as soon as we started painting and coloring.   Wednesday’s class enjoyed playing with the paper bears in the warm water.  They all discovered how the bears wake up after hibernating all winter.  What Fun!  And painting!  Whew!  They all love to paint!

September tuition is due.  The Registration fee of $25.00 is due at the beginning of each year…it pays for your child’s subscription to Let’s Find out newspapers. 

September book orders should be ordered by Wed., Sept 19^th.  The books should arrive in 1-2 weeks.  If you want the books to be kept secret from your child, just let one of the teachers know.

September supplies are coming in.  I would like to thank everyone for all the wonderful supplies.  If you haven’t had an opportunity to send your paper and snack item in, we need copier paper and juices this month.  Thanks again!

This week our theme is MOTHER GOOSE.  We will practice our Nursery Rhymes and even watch a 16 mm reel movie about Mother Goose. 

MONDAY the class will begin by following the lines.  This practice is a wonderful way to help develop fine motor skills.

Our letter is “F”.  Everyone will tear paper strips and glue the pieces onto a starfish paper.  They will paint and color with BLUE.  Everyone will make a Humpty Dumpty.

TUESDAY the children will begin with a paper about washing their hands.  They will paint and color with blue.  Everyone will make a Humpty Dumpty.

WEDNESDAY the students will begin by tracing lines.  The letter is “G”.  Everyone will tear strips of paper and glue them onto a Humpty Dumpty picture.   Our Science project is finding the animal’s hidden homes. 

THURSDAY the class will begin with a PLEASE paper.  They shape is CIRCLE to find and trace.  Everyone will make a spider for Little Miss Muffet and a dog for Old Mother Hubbard.  We will share our newspapers and behavior books.

FRIDAY the children will begin by tracing lines.  The letter is “H”.  Everyone will tear strips and glue them onto a butterfly picture.  The shape is CIRCLE.  We will make spiders and dogs for our Nursery Rhymes.  Everyone will share their newspapers and behavior books.

September 24th the theme is FALL and the color is green.

October 1^st the theme is Community Helpers and the color is Yellow.  If anyone would like to come in and talk to the children about their occupation, we would love it.  Just let me know when.

October 8, 9, and 10 there is NO SCHOOL due to Columbus holiday.  The rest of the week our theme will be Columbus .

October 15 theme is Fire Safety and the color is Red.

Halloween parties and parades are planned for Tues., Oct 30 and Wed, Oct 31^st.

More parent secrets:  Children need love-but this does not mean doing as he pleases. Too much pressure can result in harm to a child.  Children learn by repetition.
