THANK
you all for all the snacks, presents, and help with all our Christmas
Programs. A special Thanks to
our two Santas this year. We
really appreciate all the help. The
students did a wonderful job with both programs.
They sang and performed getting their Christmas trees and being
Santa’s elves. THANKS AGAIN! The
December book orders are due to arrive this week and will be placed in
lockers as soon as possible. This
week we will be wrapping our gifts for the parents, making our cards and a
few more ornaments for your trees. MONDAY
the children will begin by coloring and completing a Christmas tree
picture. They will finish
their gifts. Everyone will
make a Christmas Tree by taking an ice cream cone, covering it with green
frosting and then decorating it. We
will use sprinkles, marshmallows, chocolate chips, white chips,
butterscotch chips, and assorted candies.
They make a big mess but love it! |
The
glitter helps Santa find your house and the smell of the oatmeal brings
the hungry reindeers. We will
also make paper chains for everyone’s tree. WEDNESDAY
the class will begin by coloring and finishing a Santa picture.
They will make Christmas dust and a long paper chain for their
trees. THURSDAY
the students will begin by coloring a Santa picture and finishing his
face. They will make a
Christmas box to bring home. Everyone
will also make a horse ornament. We
will share our newspapers and behavior book. FRIDAY
we will begin by coloring and finishing a Reindeer paper.
Everyone will make a Christmas box to bring home.
They will also make a horse ornament, share their newspapers and
behavior books. Classes
will resume on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013.
In January TBC begins our Number Unit.
Each number has a story that goes with it.
We will practice tracing the numbers and counting with M&M’s. We
will also begin our Special Events each Tuesday and Wednesday.
The events are ways of having fun and learning at the same time. January
2 our theme is winter. |
make
PANCAKES for our snack. Each
child will help mix the batter and flip the pancakes.
They are always delicious! January
14 our theme is ANIMALS. On
Tuesday and Wednesday we will have an ANIMAL PARADE.
Each student may bring in a stuffed animal from home to parade to
carry in our parade. We will
discuss all the animals-what they like to eat, where they live, how they
protect themselves, etc. January
21 our theme is the GINGERBREAD MAN. We
will make a Gingerbread Bear. We
will place him in Ms. Tina’s oven to bake.
She leaves her dog Buddy to guard the oven.
Last year Buddy took a nap and the Gingerbread Bear ran away! January
28 our theme is NIGHT TIME. We
will have a Slumber Party on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Everyone may wear their pajamas and bring a blanket or sleeping
bag. WE will learn about
animals that sleep all day and work all night.
We will also learn about adults who work all night. THANKS
AGAIN for everything this year. HAPPY
HOLIDAYS to all our families. Cindy
