THANK YOU to all the parents who helped make our wonderful Leprechaun traps.  There is green crepe paper, yarn, boxes, tape, and piles of glitter everywhere in our class rooms!!  Hopefully, Louie the Leprechaun will visit the Bears and leave a treat or two.

A special Thanks to Taylor’s Grandmother for the cute Leprechaun pots of gold for her class.  The children loved them.

This week our special Bear=Ted E. Bear will begin his visits to each student’s home.  He loves to travel and have an adventure with each child.  He comes in his cloth bag with a note book for parents to write about his visit.  I have collected over 7 full books of adventures-from visiting the forest, trying to dig a hole to China, playing        with cats and dogs, playing with toys, sleeping in doll beds, anything and everything.  Some parents include pictures and drawings.  Whatever you wish to add to Ted’s adventure books will be wonderful!  Please remember to return him the next day your child attends TBC.  We will read and share his adventure with the whole class.  They love to have him visit and do not always wish to return him.  But other children need to have their turn also.  Hopefully Ted will behave.  He has been known to push children out of their bed at night, spill milk, and not want to pick up his toys.  Have fun and enjoy his visits.  We have the Leader draw the name of Ted’s next visit.

This week our theme is VACATIONS and our Special Event is a TRAIN RIDE.  We will visit the Three Little Pigs, Barney, Sesame Street, etc.  The children will also eat their snacks in the dining car!

MONDAY the children will begin with a 1-10 dot-to-dot paper to solve.  Their letter is “I, I” to trace and print.  Our number is 10 and our story is This Old Man.  We will work on our St. Patrick’s Day crafts.

TUESDAY the Bears will begin by finding What Belongs with a Fireman.  Their letter is “O”.  They are doing a super job tracing their letters-working hard to follow those lines. The number is “9” and the story is The Nine Little Kittens.  We will travel on our Teddy Bear Corner Train.

WEDNESDAY the class will begin with a dot-to-dot 1-10 to solve.  Our letter is  “J, j”.  We will travel on our train.

THURSDAY the students will begin by finding What Belongs in the Refrigerator? Their letter is “R” to trace.  Our Spatial concept word is BETWEEN.  We will share our newspapers and behavior books.

FRIDAY we will begin with a 1-10 dot-to-dot to solve.  Our letter is “K, k”.  Our rhyming word is “BEAR”.  We will cut a rabbit shape.  Everyone will share their newspapers and behavior books.

Book orders are due by Friday the 22nd.  March tuition is due now.

Each class we will be working on art projects for our Art Show in May.  The children will be painting, drawing, coloring, using chalk, markers, clay, salt, etc. as they work on their special treasures.

Next week our Easter parties will be held on Tues the 26th and Wed the 27th.  The students will color eggs, have an egg hunt, make Easter crafts and share their Easter snacks.

There is NO SCHOOL on Friday the 29th.  The week of April 1-5 is Spring Break at the local schools and we will also be closed.  Classes will resume on the 8th.
