Most of the Bears loved the blue Jell-O-eating 2 or 3 helpings.

Books were ordered this weekend and should be back in 1-2 weeks.  I will place them in the child’s lockers when they arrive.

Thanks for all the E-orders.  We receive one free book for each order placed on line.  The Bears love story time.

Last week we worked on puzzles at the end of each .class day.  The children did a great job with this activity.

This week our theme is MOTHER GOOSE and our color is YELLOW.

MONDAY the children will begin by finding the items that are the SAME.  Our letter is “G” We will color and paint with yellow.  Our CUTTING UNIT advances to SNIPPING with scissors.  The children will take a paper strip and SNIP it into pieces.  The pieces will be glued onto a cat picture.  We will make butter for our snack.  The children will shake heavy cream in containers.  The cream will thicken and become butter.  We add a dash of salt for flavor.  They will eat their butter on slices of bread for their snack.  We will make a Humpty Dumpty and an Old Mother Hubbard craft.

TUESDAY the Bears will begin by tracing a lion.  Their letter to trace is “E”.  We will color with yellow.  Our crafts are Humpty Dumpty and Mother Hubbard.

WEDNESDAY the class will begin by finding the SAME items in each row.  Their letter is “H”.    Everyone will SNIP and glue the pieces onto a dog picture.  Our Science Unit will be freezing water.   They loved playing in the water and finding items to sink or float last week.

THURSDAY the students will begin with a maze to solve.  Their letter is “F”.  Our shape is TRIANGLE.  Everyone will paint with YELLOW and make butter for their snack. Our crafts will be a spider from Miss Muffet and the children sleeping from the Old Woman in the Show. We will share our newspapers and behavior books.

FRIDAY we will begin by finding the SAME items in each row.  Our shape is TRIANGLE.  Our letter is “I”.  Everyone will SNIP and glue the pieces onto a PIG paper.  We will make a Miss Muffet craft and an Old Woman in the Shoe craft.  Everyone will share their newspapers and behavior book.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE:

Oct. 1st our theme is Community Workers and our color is GREEN.  Anyone who would like to visit and tell the students about your job would be very welcome.  You would only have to explain what you do and where and answer any questions.  We will be mailing post cards to ourselves.

SHOW AND TELL will be on Thurs and Fri the 4th and 5th.

There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 8th-COLUMBUS DAY.

Oct 9th our theme is COLUMBUS and our color is PURPLE.

OCTOBER 15 our theme is FIRE SAFETY and our color is RED.
