The staff at TBC hopes everyone had a wonderful winter break this year. Hopefully the winter snows will slow down a bit. The nasty flu bug is in our area. We are washing hands before snacks, after bathroom use, and using hand gel with every tissue, sneeze, cough, etc. Flu germs are usually passed through the respiratory track-nose and mouth-with the hands and fingers help. The flu vaccine used this year may not be as effective as the medical people had hoped it would be. There are antiviral meds available if you or your child gets the flu—but they need to be started in the first 48 hours of illness. Any child with a fever should NOT come to TBC. Thank you. THANK YOU to everyone for all the wonderful treats, snacks and Valentines you shared with all of us. What wonderful parties we had! Ted E. Bear will begin visiting the children’s homes next week. Each class day we will draw a name and that child will take Ted home for an adventure. The parents will write about the visit in Ted’s book. The child will return Ted at the next class and we will read all about his adventure. He will visit each home this spring. In March we begin making Art Projects for our Art Show in May. These works of art will all come home after the Art Show-which is scheduled for Saturday, May 10th from 10 am until 2pm. There will be raffles, sale of baked goods, and some exhibits-Avon, Mary Kay, etc. |
