The staff at Teddy Bear Corner hopes everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday.  We would like to thank everyone for the wonderful snacks and wonderful gifts for the children-pop corn bags, peeps, bunny whistle straws, and bunny food. 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to KANYON HOEK!  His Dad spent snack time with the class and supplied cupcakes, napkins, special cups and juice.  The students loved having a visitor.

SHOW AND TELL will be Thurs and Fri, April 3rd and 4^th.

March book orders have been placed and should be back in 1-2 weeks.  April flyers will be handed out this week and orders are due back by April 4^th.  May will be our last book order for this year.  WOW that doesn’t even seem possible!

March tuition notes will be handed out this week.

Items needed for April are copier paper, copier paper, copier paper!  Snack items needed are juice, veggies, fruits, snack crackers, etc.  Thank you in advance for all you contribute to TBC.  It really helps us maintain our tuition rates.

This week our theme is SPRING—even though the calendar says it’s time, the snow doesn’t seem to understand that it’s time to

stop!  Our picnic in the snow will be held later.

TUESDAY the class will begin by finding the SHORT item in each row.  We are learning many new words-few, many, some, short, long, etc.  The number series begins again with number “1” to count and trace and write.  Everyone will make a cup of hot chocolate with a marshmallow and a smart cookie.

WEDNESDAY the children will begin with a dot-to-dot paper to solve.  The letter is “Y”.  We will cut shapes and glue them where they belong.  We have been working on the –at family of words.  The class is doing a super job of sounding out the words.

THURSDAY the students will begin by finding the SHORT item in each row.  They will review the color YELLOW.  Everyone will share their newspapers and their behavior books.  We will discuss how flowers grow.

FRIDAY the children will begin with a dot-to-dot paper to solve.  The letter is “Z”.  We will cut shapes and glue them where they belong.  Everyone will share newspapers, behavior books and learn about flowers and plants.

March 31 theme is Cows and we will make ice cream and

have Ice Cream Sundaes for a treat.

April 7 theme is Vacations and we will take a train ride on Tues and wed.

April 14-18 is Spring Break at South Jeff and there will be no school that week.

April 21 theme is Dinosaurs and we will have a Dinosaur Stampede on Tues and Wed.

April 28 theme is Dinosaurs because dinos are just too big for one week of study.

Our annual Art Show is scheduled for Saturday, May 10^th from 10 am till 2 pm.  The children are busy each day making art projects for the Art Show.  We will also have distributors here from Avon, Mary Kay, etc.  They will have raffles and specials available to purchase.  We also hope to hold a basket raffle, too.  Last year we had several parents donate items in baskets to raffle-books, jewelry, lamp, blanket, toys, etc. 

We also hold a bake sale that day.  Any items that you would like to donate to that sale, would be very much appreciated.
