Everyone learned about many interesting jobs in our area last week.   I hope everyone received their post cards.

Book orders were ordered this weekend and should be in in 1-2 weeks.  THANKS for all the orders!  The Bears LOVE books!!

Individual and Class pictures will be taken on Monday, Oct. 17^th and Tuesday, Oct 18^th during class time.  Deb Swiecki (from Framing Moments by Deb here in Adams), does a wonderful job each year and her prices are great!  A flyer will be sent home with each child next week.

This week our theme is WATER and our color is BLUE.

MONDAY the Bears will begin by completing a pattern.  The letter is “I”.  We will continue SNIPPING with our scissors and gluing the pieces onto a wolf paper.  They did a wonderful job using the scissors last week.  We are working on Scissor Safety each day.  Our color to paint and color is BLUE.  Everyone will make a fish from coffee filters.

TUESDAY the children will begin by following the lines.  This helps their fine motor skills develop.  Our color to paint and color is BLUE.  THEY LOVE TO PAINT!!  Everyone will make a fish to bring home.

WEDNESDAY the class will begin by following the patterns.  Our letter is “J”.  Everyone will SNIP paper and glue the pieces onto a whale paper.  Our Science Unit continues with our lungs and ribs.  They love looking at Buddy our skeleton and my body models to find the skull, brain, back bone, and all the parts we are learning.

THURSDAY the students will begin by following the lines.  The shape is triangle.  Everyone will make a boat, share their newspapers and behavior books.

FRIDAY we will begin by completing our pattern.  Our letter is “K”.  Everyone will SNIP and glue onto a pig paper.  We will find and trace triangles, make a boat, share our newspapers and behavior books.

October is always a very busy month.  We are planning our Halloween Parties and Parades for Tuesday, October 25^th and Wednesday, October 26^th at 10am.  The students should arrive at their regular class time in their costumes.  Parents and other family members may join with our parade as we exit the building.  We will walk down Spring Street towards Main Street.  We will cross the road and return on the other side of Spring Street-crossing the road back to TBC.  If anyone would like to be a TREATER and pass out treats to the children as they parade, it would be wonderful.  Any younger siblings are invited to parade with the children and wear their costumes.  Parents may dress up also.  The children love it!  There will be a sign up list for snacks posted on our front table.  Everyone is invited back to the classroom after the parade, for refreshments.  WE PLACE EACH CHILD’S CANDY BAG IN THEIR LOCKER UNTIL THEY LEAVE!.
