The Gingerbread Bear ran away from the oven and hid behind our chalk boards.  Landon and Cierra found him on Wednesday.  Tuesday’s Gingerbread Bear was cancelled due to a snow day.  It will be rescheduled for later.

January book orders should arrive this week and will be placed in lockers.  Everyone received a $5.00 gift certificate towards a book order in February.  They were attached to the newsletters last week.

This week our theme is NIGHT TIME and our Special Event is a SLUMBER PARTY on Tuesday and Wednesday.  The children may come to school in their pajamas and bring their sleeping bags or a blanket.  We will learn about nights, stars, the moon, nocturnal animals, and jobs people do at night.  We will play musical sleeping bags and stuffed animal toss.

MONDAY we will begin by finding the DIFFERENT letter groups.  Our number is “4” and our story is the four seasons.  Our letter is “t”.  Our cutting and counting will be leaves and numbered trees.  Everyone will make a night time picture.

TUESDAY the Bears will begin by tracing a lamb.  Their letter is “H”.  The number to trace and count with M&M’s is “4”.  We will make a night time picture and a Five Little Monkeys picture.  WE will have our Slumber Party.

WEDNESDAY he children will begin by finding the DIFFERENT words.  Their letter is “u".  We will cut a boat shape.  Everyone will have a Math paper to count.  We will make the Five Little Monkeys picture.  We will have our Slumber Party.

THURSDAY the students will begin by tracing the house and windows.  Their letter is “I”.  Everyone will make a night time picture.  They will share their newspapers and behavior books.

FRIDAY the class will begin by finding the DIFFERENT letters.  Our letter is “v “.  We will cut a bus shape.  Everyone will have a math paper to solve and a rhyming paper with the word SLED.  We will make a night time paper and share our newspapers and behavior books.

SHOW AND TELL for February will be held on THURSDAY the 7th and FRIDAY the 8th.

February 4th the theme is BEACHES and we will have a beach party in our class room.  The students may wear their summer clothes and bring a towel.

February 11 will be VALENTINES and we will have our annual Valentine parties on Tuesday the 12th and Wednesday the 13th.

Class lists are in lockers this week.  Sign up lists for snacks are on the front table.

February 18-22 is Winter Break at South Jeff and TBC will be closed that week.

February 25 will be Our PRESIDENTS and we will have their birthday parties on Tues and Wed that week.
